Guidelines

Before you ask, no, you do not have to advertise us or put links back to us on your website. Just follow these simple guidelines:
  1. Do not change the appearence of the ticker in any way.
    (we have various colors to chose from below)
  2. Load the ticker from our servers, do not copy it to yours.
    (it will only update itself if it is loaded from our servers)
  3. If someone clicks on the ticker, it should go to MovieRate.
    (you can alter the code to open a seperate window, but you can not remove the href)

Instructions

  1. Pick a place to put the Movie Ticker. It can be anywhere on the page.
    (TIP: It makes a great section seperator or to seperate a title from the rest of the page)

  2. Pick the ticker color you want.
    (if you would like another color, please request it by     emailing us)

  3. Copy and paste the following code into your webpage.

  4. OPTIONAL: Alter the code to suit your website.
    • To have a new window open up when someone clicks the ticker, change the
      <a href="http://www.movierate.com?ticker"> to
      <a href="http://www.movierate.com?ticker" target="_blank">
    • If you want less spacing around the ticker, you can remove the <p> and </p> tags from the above code
    • Add a border around the ticker by changing the border=0 to border=3
    • Remember, do not remove the href that links to MovieRate.com

  5. OPTIONAL: An emailed thank you couldn't hurt and only takes a moment. Don't forget to mention what your homepage address is (if you want to).

Other Notes

We have just started this Movie Ticker system, so the ticker will probably be updated every 3 days or so for the first couple weeks and then daily after that. We are planning on adding more choices for Movie Ticker ™, so if you have a suggestion for one please feel free to email us a suggestion.
